⚔ Class System — TimeRO
TimeRO is built on the spirit of Pre-Renewal Ragnarok Online — tactical pace, class identity, and meaningful equipment. Modern class variety comes through Expanded and Advanced Expanded classes, all balanced for the classic era. Every class has a dedicated classroom at Criatura Academy, class-specific supplies, and a custom job-change task more meaningful than the original.

Pre-Renewal Power Level
Damage, survivability, equipment scaling, and class impact are balanced around the classic Pre-Renewal ecosystem. No class invalidates another. The tactical pace of the original era is preserved.
Expanded Possibilities
Ninja, Gunslinger, Taekwon, Super Novice, Soul Linker, and Star Gladiator — alongside Advanced forms Oboro, Kagerou, Rebellion, Super Novice EX, Soul Reaper, and Star Emperor — all adjusted to fit Pre-Renewal.

After arriving in TimeRO, players head directly to Criatura Academy. Each class family has its own dedicated classroom inside the Academy — the main progression point for that job family.

Progression Steps — Requirements at a Glance
Step Requirement Notes
Novice → First Class Job Level 10 Must complete the First Class initiation task.
Novice → Expanded Class Base Level 40 Expanded classes have special entry tasks and are balanced for Pre-Renewal gameplay.
First Class → Second Class Job Level 40 Job Level 50 is recommended for maximum skill points before changing.
Base Level 99 → Reborn Base Level 99 Character becomes High Novice and starts the Transcendent path.
High Novice → Trans First Class HN Job Level 10 Follows the normal Transcendent class path.
Trans First → Trans Second Job Level 40 Leads to Lord Knight, High Wizard, Sniper, and other Transcendent classes.
Expanded Rebirth Path After Rebirth Expanded classes return to base expanded form post-rebirth, then advance to their higher class.

🧭 How to Read This Tree

All normal classes begin as Novice, advance into a First Class, then choose one of two Second Class routes. After reaching Base Level 99, eligible characters may perform Rebirth and follow the Transcendent version of the same route.

TimeRO offers expanded and advanced expanded classes while keeping them balanced around the server's Pre-Renewal power level. These classes open new gameplay possibilities without replacing the identity of classic jobs.

Expanded Classes

Expanded classes open new playstyles inside the Pre-Renewal universe. Advanced forms are balanced down — skills, scaling, and damage may differ from official Renewal behavior. They do not replace classic job roles.

Second Class Job Change Tasks

Second class tasks test whether the player understands the role of the class they are choosing. Each path has its own task — choose carefully.
Swordman Path
Defeat mounted-combat trial monsters, survive battlefield endurance, collect knightly proof materials.
Protect an NPC escort, defeat undead or demon enemies, pass a defensive faith trial.
🔮 Mage Path
Complete an elemental damage trial, defeat monsters with correct elemental counters, gather spell crystals.
Complete a knowledge trial, collect magic research materials, defeat monsters using tactical spell choice.
🏹 Archer Path
Track target monsters, place traps in a field trial, defeat a marked beast.
Collect rare sound materials, assist NPC performers, complete a rhythm-based hunting task.
Complete movement trials, gather performance materials, defeat monsters while maintaining positioning.
Merchant Path
Mine materials, craft a test weapon, defeat monsters using forged equipment.
Gather reagents, brew test mixtures, defeat monsters affected by experimental substances.
🗡 Thief Path
Defeat marked targets, gather poison components, complete a silent elimination trial.
Recover stolen items, copy enemy patterns, complete an infiltration challenge.
Acolyte Path
Heal NPCs, purify cursed areas, defeat undead enemies using holy methods.
Complete martial trials, gather spiritual tokens, defeat a combat master.

Transcendent Job Change Tasks

After reaching Base Level 99, eligible characters may perform Rebirth — resetting into a High Novice and opening the Transcendent path. Transcendent tasks are harder than normal tasks and require proof that you mastered the original class.

Stealth trials, gather ninja tools, defeat marked enemies without brute force.
Job Level 10
Gather firearm components, complete a shooting trial, defeat ranged targets.
Base Level 40
Complete mixed trials based on several first-class roles, prove adaptability.
Job Lvl 10
Complete movement, kick, and discipline trials before choosing a celestial or spiritual future.
Advanced Expanded Classes (Jlv 40–50)
Moonlit assassination, illusion, and refined ninja arts.
Solar discipline, explosive arts, and advanced shadow combat.
Heavy firearms, tactical suppression, and weapon mastery.
Extreme versatility, hybrid mastery, survival against impossible odds.
Soul harvesting, spiritual judgment, and controlled forbidden power.
Celestial authority, stellar combat, mastery over sun, moon, and stars.

Expanded class path: After reaching a high base level, Expanded characters revert to their base expanded class upon rebirth and may then advance into Oboro, Kagerou, Rebellion, Super Novice EX, Soul Reaper, or Star Emperor through their respective advancement tasks.

Important Balance Note

Pre-Renewal Power Level — Always
Although TimeRO offers Advanced Expanded Classes, the server remains balanced around a Pre-Renewal power level. Skills may be rebalanced. Damage values may differ from official Renewal behavior. Cooldowns, scaling, and effects may be adjusted. No class is intended to invalidate classic Pre-Renewal roles. The goal is to create new possibilities inside the Pre-Renewal universe — not to replace it.
