Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Underrated Characters Fans Want

We hadn't thought about it until now, but thanks to @ActualAero's question on Twitter, what is the soundtrack of this game going to be like? The most realistic possibility is that it'll just use the background music from all the Nickelodeon shows and movies as stage music, with a couple of new songs created just for the game.

Of course, even a casual fighting game player could piece this joke together, but the audience who has played games made by Arc System Works like Dragon Ball FigherZ or Guilty Gear Strive with weird lobby systems will understand this joke on a deeper level.

The announcement of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl certainly came as a surprise, to fighting game fans and cartoon enthusiasts alike. Taking inspiration from the likes of Super Smash Bros. , Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl brings together characters from the company’s history to duke it out in arena matches. Competitors include characters from SpongeBob Squarepants , Invader Zim, and even Ren and Stimpy. It’s also great seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles make an appearance as well. The character options are almost as wild as some of the zaniest suggestions for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighters. The roster definitely seems stacked, though some fighters making their way to the arena are still unknown at the time of writing. Tag team game modes are almost a given in a multiplayer brawl game like this one . There are a few moments within the trailer that show a couple of characters teaming up against another player. This could very well just be a free-for-all situation but more than likely the trailer is slyly pointing to team-based modes.

Each character that appears in the Nickelodeon: All-Stars brawl Stars collectibles trailer seems to have their own items or weapons to utilize in battle. The trailer shows specific items that tie directly to each character. It's hard to know if these items are just cosmetic flourishes or if they are actual weapons.

At this point, their entire marketing campaign for the game is based around the similarities to the Smash franchise anyway, so maybe they should just double down on it and include Nickelodeon off-brand Smash Bros reference characters in their already-quite-large roster.

Most of the memes circulating around All-Stars brawl have been pretty clever in, but relatively low effort in their execution. While it doesn't specifically show different variations, it could be a more hidden or nuanced feature that only happens during certain matches. Dynamic stages could make each subsequent match more exciting and varied.
