While League of Legends continues to grow outside the MOBA, it seems Apex Legends shares a similar desire to grow outside of its own battle royale genre. In an interview with Eurogamer, Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier mentioned a desire to expand and "eventually evolve into something beyond a battle royale." At first, Grenier mentions that crossplay and the Nintendo Switch release of Apex Legends are the first steps to expanding the game. However, Grenier subsequently poses the question of how Apex Legends could move beyond just iterating on Apex Legends with additional limited-time-mo

The design team is involved in the early stages to establish rules for creating characters and making them stand out in environments. We worked with the character artists on what color values to use on the maps relative to how you do that with Agents. Small tiny details end up making a world of difference. Specific RGB color values on our characters are just not allowed to exist on our maps to prevent that "hiddenness" from happening so that the characters always pop out in the wo

While Season 10 wasn't perfect, it brought plenty of positive changes and laid the foundation for future improvements Riot Games will continue to make. For now, players should have received their end of Season 10 rewards and can take a well-deserved break from solo queue. Otherwise, the preseason has drastically shaken up the item system and experimenting now could lead to early ranked success when Season 11 officially begins in Janu

On the other hand, 2 champions were finally reworked after winning the community vote back in 2019: Fiddlesticks and Volibear. Both characters were chosen by players for a visual update because their concepts didn't fit in the game's ever-evolving lore. To that end, Fiddlesticks was transformed into a primordial demon disguised as a scarecrow while Volibear was redesigned as the Freljord demigod he was always meant to be. Even though details were changed, the thematic is still there and instantly recognizable by veteran play

Medusa may have been strong, but Kratos killed her in the first game, and he later killed her sister. Seeing as Kratos has a track record of eliminating gorgons, it stands to reason that he can beat Cass

Moving forward, new champion releases shouldn't clash so closely with one another. Yone's debut heavily eclipsed Lillia's earlier arrival despite players knowing both would come out during the summer event. Furthermore, Seraphine's social media may have been planned months in advance, but this greatly took away from Samira who seemed like an afterthought. However, this year's schedule can largely be attributed to the shift cause by COVID-19, and it shouldn't be a sign that 2021 will continue an erratically slow or fast p

Cho'Gath's in-game immobility makes him a prime candidate for a rework , but that doesn't mean that he isn't strong. This monster hails from the Void and has skin as hard as diamond, and his ultimate allows him to grow indefinitely and become more and more durable as long as he successfully eats someth

There are several champions who dedicate their lives to fighting those who would destroy Runeterra, and Maokai is one of them. Maokai can create saplings that run towards an enemy and explode, while his ultimate summons a moving wall of branches and thorns which root and damage anyone in its p

Some players believe that Malphite is a champion who desperately needs a rework , but even those players cannot deny that he is currently one of the game's best top laners . Malphite is basically a living mountain and he actually loves fighting ranged individu

Ruined King comes alongside several spin-offs and untitled projects currently in the works. The League of Legends fighting game, called "Project L," is currently in development under Radiant Entertainment, a first party studio run by EVO founders Tom and Tony Cannon that Riot Games acquired way back in 2016. Riot Games' first-person shooter, codenamed "Project A," became the immensely popular Valorant multiplayer shooter . Legends of Runeterra , the official League of Legends card game, is now available to play on mobile devices and

** TheGamer: ** Some thought Killjoy's bright yellow jacket might make her stand out on the map more so than other Agents, painting a big target on her. How important is color palette in terms of combat readability when you're designing Age

Considering Apex Legends takes place within the larger Titanfall universe , there's already plenty of lore for expanded games to draw from. With the IMC/Milita conflict chronologically occurring decades before the events of Apex Legends , a lot has already happened. It is possible additional spin-offs could return with another Titanfall game, whether it's a prequel or sequel, to detail further events of the Frontier War. There's also plenty of potential in the Apex Legends storyline, relevant web site outside of the battle royale's existing lore. Character-specific stories like a stealth-oriented/ Hitman -style game for Revenant, or perhaps a single-player first-person shooter detailing Bangalore's time with the IMC Armed Forces, these could certainly do well for Apex Legends fans in the right cont
