Destiny 2's has seen some major story developments this week. Season of the Lost's seventh week has concluded the Wayfinder's Voyage questline, but that doesn't mean this season is out of content. A new set of Seasonal Challenges and Grandmaster Nightfalls are now available. This week's challenges reward a massive chunk of XP and Bright Dust, although most of them are fairly time intensive. You'll need to focus T3 Umbral Engrams, play Glory PvP matches, and complete a Grandmaster Nightfall to complete some of these challenges. Let's go over every challenge available this week, what their rewards are, and how best to complete them. Wayfinder's Voyage VII Wayfinder's Voyage VII: Use the Wayfinder's Compass to complete Wayfinder's Voyage VII. Also, defeat Taken or Scorn with Shotguns anywhere in the system. Rewards 25,000 XP Fractethyst – Shotgun Wayfinder's Compass Calibration Level Wayfinder's Voyage VII is the final part of Season of the Lost's story quest. Like normal, speak to the Wayfinder's Compass at the H.E.L.M. and complete this season's weekly activities. Once you've finished the quest, you'll need to defeat 100 Taken or Scorn with Shotguns. Rapid-Fire Frames and Lord of Wolves are fantastic for this objective. Head to the Kingship Docks in the Tangled Shore or the Shuro Chi checkpoint in the Last Wish raid to farm 100 kills quickly. _Return to Quick Links _ Umbral Maven Umbral Maven: Focus Tier III Umbral Engrams at the Prismatic Recaster in the H.E.L.M. Rewards 25,000 XP Wayfinder's Compass Calibration Level You'll need to focus two Umbral Engrams with a T3 option for this challenge. Focusing an Engram with Season of the Lost's offerings will require 600 Parallax Trajectory, a resource that's fairly easy to farm by playing ritual activities. If you're short on Parallax Trajectories, farm Crucible matches, Vanguard Strikes, or Gambit. _Return to Quick Links _ Freezeburn Freezeburn: Defeat combatants with Stasis abilities, Solar abilities, or shatter damage. Combatants defeated with Solar or Stasis melee attacks award bonus progress. Rewards 50,000 XP Wayfinder's Compass Calibration Level This challenge requires that you defeat 500 enemies with Stasis or Solar abilities. Since melee attacks grant more progress, you'll want to use a loadout that recharges your melee as quickly as possible. Here are a few recommendations: All Classes Use Monte Carlo: This Auto Rifle grants melee energy on hits. Kills have a chance of fully restoring your melee, making this weapon perfect for farming melee ability kills. Hunter Revenant: Use Grim Harvest with Whisper of Hunger and Gambler's Dodge. This will give you solid melee uptime. Each Withering Blade can kill four enemies, so you should be able to get this done rather quickly. Warlock Bottom Tree Dawnblade: For whatever reason, the explosions that occur on Bottom Tree Dawnblade count as melee kills. Start an explosive chain reaction in the Shattered Throne's Thrall hallway and wait a minute. The challenge will complete itself. Titan Bottom Tree Sunbreaker: Middle Tree might have a refundable melee, but it can only kill one enemy at a time. Use Bottom Tree Sunbreaker with Elemental Well mods. Equip mods that spawn additional Elemental Wells and grant additional melee energy upon grabbing one. Rewards 25,000 XP This challenge will boil down to how good your team is. You'll need a team that can efficiently escort batteries, destroy Ether orbs, and cleanse Taken Rifts. Unless you can get a premade team together, your best bet is to not worry about this challenge. Farm Astral Alignment for the Ager's Scepter Catalyst to increase your odds of stumbling across a good team that can beat this mission in under ten minutes. _Return to Quick Links _ Cadre Of Contenders Cadre Of Contenders: Complete Crucible matches in the Glory Rank playlist. Earn bonus progress for wins. Rewards 100,000 XP 300 Bright Dust Glory is referring to the Survival playlist in the Crucible. Unlike most game types, Survival uses Skill-Based Matchmaking, meaning you'll fight enemies that are roughly around your skill level. You'll need to complete eight games to finish this challenge, although wins grant more progress. We have a Glory tips guide for those looking to farm this playlist. If you just want to finish this challenge and nothing else, we have two suggestions: Get a fireteam together: If you can coordinate with others, your odds of winning skyrocket. Play Freelance Comp: The Freelance queue only matches solo players against each other. For the Fusion Rifle kills, use a Rapid-Fire Fusion Rifle. If you own it, Vex Mythoclast also counts as a Fusion Rifle for challenges like this. Year 4's seasons all have a progression system with either a vendor or item type, enhancing the rewards you receive from certain seasonal activities. Season of the Splicer's Override activity uses the Splicer Gauntlet , an item that can be upgraded through Decrypted Data. While Override and Expunge do give out Decrypted Data, your best source of Decrypted Data is going to be Seasonal Challenges from Season of the Splicer. There are 20 you can complete, each granting anywhere from 150-250 Decrypted Data. We'll be going over what Seasonal Challenges are, how to complete them, and give specific tips for all 20 of these challenges. What Are Seasonal Challenges? Seasonal Challenges are unique Triumphs that grant season-specific rewards when completed. Since Season of the Splicer is no longer Destiny 2's active season, most of its Seasonal Challenges have been removed. There are 20 Splicer-specific challenges you can complete, each granting Decrypted Data that you can use to upgrade your rank with the Splicer Servitor—Season of the Splicer's unique vendor. Seasonal Challenges from past seasons do not grant XP or Bright Dust, so only do these if you're behind on that season's vendor progression. **Return to Table of Contents ** Hello, World Hello, World: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer I, and defeat powerful Cabal anywhere in the system. Bonus progress granted for defeating combatants in Override. Reward +150 Decrypted Data Path of the Splicer is a narrative quest given out by the Splicer Servitor at the H.E.L.M. It'll take you through the basics of Override, Expunge, and showcase some major narrative beats between humanity and the Eliksni. This challenge also requires that you defeat 150 powerful Cabal, "powerful" referring to majors and/or bosses. If you own Season of the Chosen, Battlegrounds is a fantastic place to farm Cabal kills. For everyone else, you can farm either The Insight Terminus strike or The Arms Dealer strike on Nessus and the EDZ, respectfully. **Return to Table of Contents ** Safe Harbor Safe Harbor: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer II, and defeat Champions anywhere in the system. Safe Harbor also has a second objective that requires you to defeat 40 Champions. These can be from any activity, not just Override. If you need to farm Champion kills quickly, consider farming Legend Lost Sectors. These missions can be cleared in a couple of minutes and contain 2-4 Champions each. Higher difficulty Nightfalls are also a great source of Champions if you can handle the difficulty increase. **Return to Table of Contents ** Breakthrough Breakthrough: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer III, and defeat powerful Scorn anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Scorn defeated in Override. Reward +150 Decrypted Data The second objective of Breakthrough requires 150 powerful Scorn kills. Similar to Hello, World, there aren't many locations you can farm powerful Hive at. Your best bet is to farm Altars of Sorrow on the Moon or the Scarlet Keep strike. Altars of Sorrow is recommended if you have a good add-clear build or have a fireteam with you. **Return to Table of Contents ** Behind The Curtain Behind the Curtain: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer VI, and defeat Champions anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Champions defeated in Override or Expunge. Reward +150 Decrypted Data Path of the Splicer VI will guide you through Corrupted Expunge: Labyrinth . This is a slightly altered version of the standard mission, except the end of the level contains a Corrupted Vex Chest you can open for bonus rewards. Beyond the quest, you'll need to defeat 40 Champions. If you completed Provocation, this objective should already be finished. If not, farm Legend Lost Sectors or Expunge: Styx . **Return to Table of Contents ** The Dark Network The Dark Network: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer VII, and defeat Champions anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Champions defeated in Override or Expunge. Reward +150 Decrypted Data Complete Path of the Splicer VI to receive the next step in this quest. You've already completed the second objective at this point, so you only need to complete the seventh part of this quest to finish this challenge. **Return to Table of Contents ** Before The Dawn Before the Dawn: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer VIII, and open Corrupted Chests in Expunge. Reward +250 Decrypted Data Path of the Splicer VIII is the last step in Splicer's narrative quest. You'll need to complete two Corrupted Expunge missions for the quest, one of which tasks you with defeating Quria, Blade Transform. Once you've finished the quest, you'll need to open 20 Corrupted Chests in Expunge. These chests spawn at the end of a successful Corrupted Expunge clear. You'll need a Corrupted Key Code to open the chest, an item we cover in our Corrupted Key Code guide . **Return to Table of Contents ** Maximum Override Maximum Override : Complete Override missions and deposit Data Spikes as a team. Bonus progress granted for each piece of Season of the Splicer armor equipped. Reward +150 Decrypted Data Maximum Override requires that you complete five Override missions and deposit Data Spikes. Data Spikes are the Motes dropped by slain enemies. The Data Spike progress is quite slow on its own, but each piece of Lightkin armor you wear will drastically increase the progress you make toward this challenge. Any Lightkin armor you've transmogrified onto your armor also counts as wearing Lightkin armor. **Return to Table of Contents ** Herculean Protocol Herculean Protocol: Defeat the Hydra boss in Override, and defeat powerful Vex anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Vex defeated in Override. Reward +150 Decrypted Data The Override boss rotates each week, one of which is a Hydra. You'll need to defeat this Hydra boss at least once and 200 powerful Vex to finish this challenge. For the powerful Vex objective, you can farm the Vault of Glass raid's opening and Conflux encounters. You can also run through The Glassway strike on Europa. **Return to Table of Contents ** Expedited Expunge: Labyrinth Expedited Expunge: Labyrinthâ€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹: Complete Expunge: Labyrinth in 10 minutes or less. Reward +150 Decrypted Data Expunge: Labyrinth is the longest Expunge mission of the bunch. Beating this mission in under 10 minutes requires that you never stop moving. Rush towards the boss, ignoring as many enemies on the path as you can. When you reach the final boss, you'll want to use a high-damage to kill the Minotaur once its shields drop. One Thousand Voices, Linear Fusion Rifles with Particle Deconstruction, Swords, and Rocket Launchers are good picks. **Return to Table of Contents ** Draconian Protocol Draconian Protocol: Defeat the Wyvern boss in Override, and defeat powerful Vex anywhere in the system. Reward +150 Decrypted Data Tartarus is all about memorizing where the data cubes spawn at. Once you know how to efficiently break each cube, you'll have enough time to take on the final boss. Unless you can one-phase the final boss with a high DPS weapon, try your best to speedrun the first part of the level as fast as you can. If the Minotaur isn't the final boss for you, you'll need to wait until the next weekly reset for the boss to change. There are three bosses in total, so you might need to wait two weeks for the Minotaur to become the final boss. If you've completed any other Protocol challenge, you'll have the second challenge finished already. They'll respawn indefinitely, allowing you to easily finish this challenge. **Return to Table of Contents ** Path Of The Scribe Path of the Scribe: Scan the Eliksni Scribe recordings in the Eliksni Quarter of the Last City. Reward +150 Decrypted Data The Eliksni Quarter is a separate hub area you can find in the H.E.L.M's directory. It's on the bottom left of the screen. Boot up the Eliksni Quarter, then scan every item you can with your Ghost. For all of these requirements, we recommend you farm the Dreaming City's Blind Well activity. A unique buff in this activity will give you infinite abilities and ten-second Supers, allowing you to farm ability kills with ease. Enemies will drop Data Motes during the first section of Override. So long as you're actively killing enemies and depositing Motes, this shouldn't take more than a few runs to complete.
