The music heavyweights are joined by a wave of new talent, including the acclaimed London Grammar. The eponymous Ivor's, named after the Welsh-born composing genius, are prized among musicians because they are voted for by fellow songwriters and experts. Boy power: Alex Turner and his fellwo Arctic Monkeys have made a blistering return to form It is the first Best Album nomination for industry legends Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, who will go head-to-head with the Arctic Monkeys and Laura Mvula for the title. Emeli Sande, who last year took home two of the six awards, has received another nod, this year for her song Clown in the category of Most Performed Work. She is up against Flo Rida and Troublemaker by Olly Murs. New talent, however, fills the other categories. Acclaimed trio London Grammar have made it into the revered category of Best Song Musically and Lyrically. They will face John Newman and indie rock band Palma Violets for the award. Other accoldaes to be bestowed at the ceremony include Best Original Film Score - which will go to either Gravity, Captain Phillips or the restored 1924 documentary The Epic Of Everest.
