Hoyoverse has already released four main regions in Genshin Impact and multiple characters across these regions. With so much variety, every new character that gets released has a ton of options available when finding the perfect combination for that character .

Dendro Traveler is arguably one of the most fun to play because of their kit and the way Dendro reactions work. Their Elemental Burst can essentially have three different effects, allowing you to create many effective teams that all feel completely different from one another. This can be used to find your own favorite team.

Ultra-Fast Damage

Dendro Traveler

Kaedehara Kazuha

Yae Miko

Raiden Shogun

The unique effect of the Dendro Traveler's Elemental Burst is that it can have various effects depending on the element applied to it , almost like the Elemental Bursts of Anemo characters. This allows for different teams to be built for different effects. Unfortunately, you can't use multiple effects on the same burst.

Whenever you use the Elemental Burst, it creates a lamp with its own area of effect. The lamp forms flowers to deal damage to the enemies in this area at regular intervals. When Electro is applied to this lamp, it increases the attack speed of these flowers , allowing them to perform many more attacks.

Every single one of these attacks deals Dendro damage. So, with this team, you'll notice constant Quicken, Aggravate, and Spread reactions , which are among the strongest Dendro reactions. Since there are multiple Electro characters in this composition, here's what the rotation for this team should look like:

Start with Yae Miko's Elemental Skill, since you have multiple Electro characters with a bunch of Electro applications. After that, switch over to Kazuha and use his Elemental Burst and Skill to Swirl Electro .

Next, switch over to the Dendro Traveler and use your Elemental Skill, instantly followed by their Burst. Quickly switch to Raiden and use her Elemental Skill near the lamp to make sure Electro gets applied to it.

Finally, you can use Yae Miko's Elemental Burst, followed by Raiden's Elemental Burst, which will regenerate energy on all characters. This allows you to continue using this cycle.

The only problem you might face with this team is the energy regeneration for the Traveler. So, it's recommended to equip Sands with Energy Recharge or weapons like the Sacrificial Sword that have this key stat .

Reaching Great Boundaries

Dendro Traveler

Collei

Sangonomiya Kokomi

Kamisato Ayato

The second possible reaction that can be applied to the lamp created by Elemental Burst is using Hydro . Whenever this element is applied to it, the area of effect of the lamp is increased massively . While it'll still attack at normal speed, this will allow you to reach enemies in a much bigger radius.

Furthermore, the Hydro application from the two Hydro characters will cause a lot of Bloom reactions, making multiple seeds. The rotation for this team is fairly simple:

Start with Kokomi's Elemental Skill to keep that healing effect on whichever character is on the field, and follow it up with Collei's Elemental Burst and Skill to start making the Bloom reactions .

Since Collei doesn't take much time on the field, you can quickly switch over to Ayato and use his Elemental Burst and Skill. This causes even more Bloom reactions with Collei's Burst.

Finally, use the Traveler's Burst and Skill, followed up by Kokomi's Burst . This should give you enough battery to get everyone's Burst back up, making this team one with great ability uptime.

Kokomi and Ayato can be replaced by Yelan, Barbara, or Xingqiu, although these characters have weaker elemental application.

Ultimate Destruction

Dendro Traveler

Bennett

Xiangling

Diona

It's hardly news that whenever Pyro comes into the picture, destruction happens . This is the same for the Traveler's Burst. Whenever Pyro is applied to the lamp, it explodes after a small delay, dealing Dendro damage in its area of effect. When this happens, the lamp will have a withering animation for a second, after which it'll explode.

Apart from that, this team also relies on the Burning reaction. Even though it has been nerfed, it's still perfect for regular damage. Bennett's position in the team is due to his ATK buff and Pyro resonance, which provides the team with even more damage.

The rotation for this team is simple as well:

Start with Bennett's Elemental Burst and follow up with his Skill to apply an ATK buff to the characters on the field.

Next, use the Traveler's Burst and Skill, followed by those for Xiangling . This will start the Burning reaction and explosions, while it also allows the Pyro character to regenerate energy with their skills combined.

Finish the rotation with Diona's skills to apply Cryo and further heal your characters , if they need it. As mentioned, she can be replaced with Rosaria, Kaeya, or a shield character .

Mono-Dendro Team

Dendro Traveler

Tighnari

Collei

Zhongli

Whenever a character is released for a certain element, always worth attempting to create a team with just that element. Since Dendro characters were released fairly late , it is significantly hard to come up with an all-Dendro squad. Moreover, Genshin Impact relies on reactions, making this team a little less efficient .

There's no specific rotation to this team, but Tighnari will be the main DPS since he can deal a lot of damage with his second charged attack. Furthermore, you'll never fall short of energy for your Bursts on any of the characters, because they'll all recharge Dendro skills much faster . Zhongli already has a short requirement for his Burst.

The Main Character

Dendro Traveler

Yun Jin

Bennett

Zhongli

While the kit for Dendro Traveler doesn't really incentivize them to be the main DPS, it is still possible with the right teammates. If you love the main character and want to use them as much as possible , this team is perfect for you.

Bennett will provide a straight ATK buff , while Zhongli will reduce the Dendro resistance of enemies . Furthermore, Yun Jin will buff your normal attack damage by providing extra damage when you use her Elemental Burst. This will allow you to continue to use the Traveler even after using all of their skills .

NEXT: [https://Genshinportal.com/ Genshin Impact weapons] Impact Complete Guide And Walkthrough

The world of Genshin Impact is filled with many kinds of danger for The Traveler, and the Fatui is one of the major threats. This group belongs to the Snezhnaya region, and they get their orders from the Harbingers who are led by the Tsaritsa herself.

For being one of the two main antagonist groups in the game, the Harbingers look awfully beautiful . Hoyoverse released a huge trailer showing the design of every single one of these, and it left everyone in awe. It's hard to dislike the negative characters when they look so aesthetically pleasing.

11 Pulcinella — The Rooster

When we saw Pulcinella in the Harbinger trailer, it felt familiar, and rightfully so, since it seems like he's featured in the main Teyvat trailer as well. From the get-go, he seemed like an arrogant one. He's one of the shortest among them and is currently slated as the fifth of the Fatui Harbingers.

Even if he's ranked last, it's worth mentioning that his design is still absolutely phenomenal, which gives you a hint of how beautiful the rest of them are. His long nose along with his facial features gives a clear indication that you wouldn't want to cross this person even in your dreams.

10 Capitano — The Captain

Looks like Hoyoverse ran out of ideas when it was Capitano's turn, since he has a similar real name and alias. The only Harbinger that is missing a face, he looks very buffed in the winter outfit. His current position in the Harbinger lineup is unknown.

There is a chance that the Harbingers have people from every nation, including Khaenri'ah, and he seems to be the perfect candidate for this, since we already know that the people from that region were cursed, and their faces deformed. The braids on his clothes under the coat contrast well with the rest of his attire, making him terrifying.

9 Scaramouche — Balladeer

One of the first Harbingers introduced in the world of Genshin Impact, Scaramouche was first seen in the Unreconciled Stars event, where we also met Mona and Fischl. The people who missed this event first saw him in the Inazuma storyline.

Scaramouche has a purple vibe to him. Whenever you look at his face, you can tell that he's been through a lot, and he's not afraid to do the unthinkable. The Electro symbol on his chest signifies his connection to the Raiden Shogun and the long hat confirms it, being a symbol of Japanese culture.

8 Pierro — The Jester

Pierro has a demanding personality and if he's in the room, you can't avoid feeling the heavy presence. In the trailer, he enters from the shadow and has the final say in the decisions made by the Harbingers. It also seemed like he was close to Rosalyn, as he was very serious about avenging her.

Looking at him, Pierro also feels like the kind of person you don't want to cross or lie to. Other than Capitano, he seems like the only possible candidate for being a Khaenri'ah citizen because half of his face is hidden by a mask.

7 Tartaglia — Childe

When you follow the lore of Genshin Impact, Tartaglia will be the second harbinger you meet, and he'll have one of the best introductions. Ever since his release, the community has absolutely adored this character, and they've even made a parody song dedicated to him. Clearly, he's one of the loved villains in the game.

Childe is number 11 of the Fatui Harbingers, and it seems like he doesn't get a lot of respect. Still, his appearance in the trailer made a lot of people scream because of how beautiful he looked with that red scarf and white fur coat.

6 La Signora — The Fair Lady

Eighth of the Fatui Harbingers, [https://Genshinportal.com/ GenshinPortal] Signora is the first one you get introduced to, during your endeavor in Mondstadt. Watching her kick the life out of Venti is sure to make your blood boil, and that's how it should be, considering she's one of the main antagonists in the game.

Eventually, we meet her again in Liyue and Inazuma, showing how important she is. She has a white persona with contrasting dark features including her eye patch. The catalyst that follows her looks phenomenal and is a dream for every Genshin player to acquire.

5 Sandrone — Marionette

There were a few characters that shot up in popularity as soon as they were introduced in the trailer, and Sandrone is undoubtedly one of them. She's being carried by a massive Fatui, signaling that she might not have the luxury of being able to walk.

Sandrone looks like another short character, and she has a calm and composed personality. The white attire suits the character and her reactions say a lot about her personality in the trailer.

4 Dottore — The Doctor

Lore lovers are probably aware of the fact that this trailer is not the first time Dottore has been mentioned. He was first introduced in the game's manga that can be read on their official website, and boy, has he gotten an overhaul on his looks.

Dottore went from looking like an actual joker to one of the most dashing characters in Genshin Impact. While he did terrible things to Collei, it's hard to dislike a character that has such a persona. His white coat covers most of his body, and his eyes are also covered by a front hat.

3 Pantalone — Regrator

Saying that Pantalone had thousands of fan art in the first 24 hours of the trailer's release isn't an exaggeration. The character was received extremely well and his glasses made him look like an innocent guy with a devil's heart.

The black and white contrast seems to be common among the Fatui Harbingers, perfect for the main antagonists in the game. The little bang of his hair on his forehead makes him all the more adorable to look at.

2 Arlecchino — The Knave

What's cookin' good lookin'? This is the woman that made the Genshin community go head over heels as soon as she appeared on the screen. Apart from her beautiful design, she also seemed like a character who deeply cares about her colleagues, but has a rough time showing it.

Regardless, she seems like a strong woman who isn't scared of saying what she wants to. She has similarities with Eula, but her winter clothes and the star below her neck make her unique and beautiful.
She is appealing to many already for a unique design unfamiliar to a 4-Star character and being the first Hydro Polearm character. Initial looks at this character showcase a possible support role that could really stand out. This could lead to a shift in many team comps that could value the strength this 4-Star character may bring.

Despite all the excitement around the 3.0 update and everything new about it, the three new characters of 3.1 have called much attention to themselves. 5-Stars Cyno and Nilou look to be top-tier Main DPS and Utility characters respectively, while the new 3.0 characters have found their ways onto teams. New Dendro 5-Star Tighnari is making himself an excellent case for the Main DPS role on teams that utilize his Dendro reactions. At the same time, the free 4-Star Collei is making waves as a viable Sub-DPS for teams with her area of effect Dendro Elemental Burst.

Related: Why Genshin Impact's Whitewashing Of Candace Is Problematic

Even though Cyno and Nilou are getting a good share of the popularity, Candace may become a crucial part of many teams as she gives excellent Support and Utility buffs while being an easier-to-acquire 4-Star character. In the lore, Candace is a warrior and village protector, and part of her design is a shield on her left arm, which plays into her Elemental Skill allowing her to absorb some damage with it. Meanwhile, her Burst will give a buff to all party members akin to great Utility buffs like Bennet or Jean. Suffice it to say, early reactions lead to another powerful Hydro user joining an already competitive element while competing for top spots for a Support role.

Genshin Impact 3.1 Leaks: Candace Combat And Passive Talents

According to the online Genshin Database Project Amber , Candace's Normal Attack, Gleaming Spear - Guardian Stance, is similar to other Polearm users in that it is a four-hit combo. What makes it interesting is the animation uses her Shield as part of her attack pattern, which is a cool touch, though her Plunge and Charged Attacks are the same as any other Polearm user. Candace's Elemental Skill, Sacred Rite: Heron's Sanctum, is helpful in that it has both offensive and defensive features. On a tap, she will charge forward with her Shield, dealing Hydro damage, and on holding the skill, she will raise her Shield and absorb incoming damage based on her max health.

Absorbing Hydro damage is more effective for her, and when the charge or duration is completed, Candace will perform a leaping Hydro attack. That alone is pretty strong, akin to perhaps Genshin Impact's strongest shield character Zhongli , but Candace's Elemental Burst, Sacred Rite: Wigtail's Tide, will further increase her top-tier viability. When using her Burst, Candace will release an area of effect Hydro attack based on her max health and grant all party members the buff Prayers of the Crimson Crown, which has three effects. First, characters with the buff will deal increased elemental damage with their normal attacks. Second, when a character switches into the battle, they will release a wave of Hydro damage out to enemies. Finally, any active Sword, Claymore, and Polearm characters will get their weapons infused with Hydro.

To start, Candace's noncombat passive decreases climbing Stamina consumption by 20% for a player's party, a great way to preserve and increase Stamina in Genshin Impac t . Her first combat passive is Featherflow Guard, which will allow her Elemental Skill to recharge instantly if an attack hits her during the use of the skill. The second passive will give characters affected by the Prayers of the Crimson Crowd buff a 0.5% attack buff for every 1000 max health Candace has.

Genshin Impact Leaks: Candace's Constellations

Final impressions will have to wait until Candace is fully released in Genshin Impact , but initial reactions would seem to have her benefit most from having some of her Constellations. Candace getting at least to C2 gives her supportiveness another boost of strength, while getting Candace to C6 would definitely help chip in extra damage.

Constellation 1: Returning Heir of the Scarlet Sands

The duration of buff Prayer of the Crimson Crown is increased by three seconds.

Constellation 2: Moon-Piercing Brilliance

When Candace's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, her max health will increase by 20% for 15 seconds.

Constellation 3: Hunter's Supplication

Increases the level of Elemental Burst Sacred Rite: Wagtail's Tide, which could be one of the best 4-Star Elemental Bursts , by three.

Constellation 4: Sentinel Oath

This shortens the hold cooldown of Elemental Skill Sacred Rite: Heron's Sanctum to match the tap cooldown.

Related: Genshin Impact: How To Unlock Sumeru Reputation Board

Constellation 5: Golden Eye

C5 increases Candace's level of Elemental Skill Sacred Rite: Heron's Sanctum by three.

Constellation 6: The Overflow

When characters who are not Candace deal Elemental Damage while having the buff Prayer of the Crimson Crown, they will unleash the Hydro wave attack from Elemental Burst Wagtails Tide. Characters can trigger this effect every 2.3 seconds.

Genshin Impact Character Leaks: Candace's Ascension Materials & Special Dish

Like fellow Sumeru Hydro character Nilou, Candace's Ascension material is the Lazurite gems, and then new items coming in 3.1: the desert fruit Redcrest, a new Sash/Satin material line, [https://genshinportal.com/ linked web-site] and Light Guiding Tetrahedrons, which can be obtained from Semi-Perpetual Control Matrices. For her Talents, Candace will need Tears of the Calamitous God from the Raiden Shogun boss fight and the new Admonition book series found in Sumeru Domains. Finally, Candace's Special Dish is the rice dish Utmost Care, crafted with two tomatoes, three rice, two flour, and two of a currently unknown new food material. Utmost Care replenishes 80 stamina when it is consumed.

Candace may not be as flashy as Cyno and Nilou, but she is certainly not lacking in the strength department, especially for a 4-star character who will be easier to obtain on Banners. Much of how Candace plays and how she will be built is still up in the air and will have to wait till release for players to figure out. However, one thing is for sure: She has the potential to be one of the best Support characters in _Genshin Impact . _

Source: Project Amber

When you first start Genshin Impact , you’re asked to pick your Traveler from a set of siblings, then asked to decide what their Element will be. Initially, you’re given a choice between Geo or Anemo, both of which offer perks. There are other Elements you can switch your Traveler to as you play — Dendro and [https://genshinportal.com/ Genshinportal.Com] Electro — but the Element you pick in the beginning will have an effect on your character until then.

Geo Travelers have strong Elemental Bursts, which come in handy for shielding your team from damage, but they tend to do less damage overall than the other Elements, making them more of a support than a Main or even Sub-DPS. So here is a look at the weapons which best suit a beginning Geo Traveler.

10 The Harbinger Of Dawn - Three Stars

The Harbinger of Dawn can be obtained a few different ways. First, you can pull it from Wishes. Second, you can get it through Kaeya’s Gain Quest. Lastly, you get it after talking to the NPC Nanako in Inazuma City. This sword raises Base Attack between 39 and 401, depending on your Traveler’s level, and has a substat of Crit damage that comes with a boost ranging from 10.2 to 46.9 percent.

Whenever your Traveler’s HP is over the 90 percent mark, their Crit Rate will get another 14 percent increase.

9 The Favonius Sword - Four Stars

The Favonius Sword can be obtained through Wishes. It will raise your Traveler’s Base Attack between 41 and 454, and has a secondary stat of Energy Recharge that sees a boost between 13.3 and 61.3 percent.

The Traveler’s Crit hits will have a 60 percent chance of creating Elemental Particles, which in turn make six Energy for them. Since they inflict less damage, this weapon restoring Energy is more for the ability to maintain them as a support for the party.

8 The Black Sword - Four Stars

The Black Sword can only be obtained through the Gnostic Hymn section of the Battle Pass, which is the part of Genshin Impact that requires purchase. If you feel like dropping the money on it, this sword increases Base Attack between 42 and 510 for your Traveler.

It also has a secondary stat of Crit Rate that raises this stat between six and 27.6 percent, depending on the Traveler’s level. They’ll get a 20 percent boost to the damage they deal when using Normal and Charged Attacks, as well. If either of these hits as critical, 60 percent of their HP will regenerate.

7 The Amenoma Kageuchi - Four Stars

The Amenoma Kageuchi is a great sword for your Traveler because you can forge it yourself at the blacksmith’s shop, so it comes down to getting materials and not grinding to find or earn it. Once you have it, the Traveler’s Base Attack will increase between 41 and 454, depending on their level. The substat will raise their Attack between 12 and 55.1 percent.

After you’ve used the Traveler’s Elemental Skill, they’ll get one Succession Seed. Three seeds can be stacked at once, so that when your Traveler uses Elemental Burst, they will consume the seeds for six Energy each.

6 The Prototype Rancour - Four Stars

The Prototype Rancour can be obtained one of two ways: either forging it for your Traveler at the blacksmith’s shop, or by achieving Adventure Rank 10 and collecting it as a reward. This sword increases Base Attack between 44 and 565, and applies a Physical damage bonus between 7.5 and 34.5 percent with its substat.

When hitting an enemy, the Prototype Rancour will give your Traveler’s Normal or Charged Attacks an extra four percent to the Attack and Defense stats for six seconds. You’ll be able to stack this a maximum of four times.

5 The Sacrificial Sword - Four Stars

The Sacrificial Sword is obtained through Wishes. This sword will boost Base Attack between 41 and 454, and also gives a 13.3 to 61.3 percent increase to the Traveler’s Energy Recharge.

Anytime the Traveler hits a target with damage from their Elemental Skill, they’ll have a 40 percent chance of it ending its cooldown period. This is very helpful to allow them to stay active since they are weaker when they do attack.

4 The Festering Desire - Four Stars

The Festering Desire can only be found in the Chalk Prince and the Dragon Event. If you’re lucky enough to get it, your Traveler will have a boost to their Base Attack between 42 and 510. The substat is Energy Recharge, and that will go up between ten and 45.9 percent.

This sword will increase the Traveler’s Elemental Skill damage by 16 percent, and give its Crit Rate a six percent boost, too, offering them a slight advantage when targeting enemies. The Festering Desire also works with multiple Elemental versions of the Traveler, if you ever think of switching from Geo to one of the other Elements .

3 The Aquila Favonia - Five Stars

You can pull the Aquila Favonia through Wishes for your Traveler. It will raise their Base Attack between 48 and 674, depending on level, and grants a Physical damage bonus between nine and 41.3 percent with the substat.

The Traveler’s overall Attack will increase by 20 percent when equipped with the Aquila Favonia, and it can trigger the Soul of the Falcon of the West. This effect can potentially regenerate HP equal to the max amount of Attack, and deal 200 percent of Attack as pure damage.

2 The Summit Shaper - Five Stars

The Summit Shaper can be obtained through Weapon Event Wishes. Once you have it, this sword will raise the Traveler’s Base Attack between 46 and 608, with a secondary stat of Attack giving another 10.8 to 49.6 percent.

This weapon will increase shield strength by 20 percent. Since the Geo Traveler is chiefly good at being a shield, this will only reinforce their strength for team support. Whenever they successfully hit an enemy, they’ll see a four percent boost to Attack for eight seconds, and this can be stacked up to five times. If they make a hit while their shield is active, the percentage goes up to 100.

1 The Primordial Jade Cutter - Five Stars

You can pull the Primordial Jade Cutter through Weapon Event Wishes. It will give your Traveler’s Base Attack a boost between 44 and 542, depending on their level, and has a substat of Crit Rate for 9.6 to 44.1 percent.

Your Traveler’s HP will get an increase of 20 percent with this sword, and they’ll have an Attack Bonus based on their maxed HP. This will be factored as 1.2 percent of max HP stat.

NEXT: Games To Play If You Like [https://genshinportal.com/ Genshin Impact co-op guide] Impact
Though Khaenri’ah was in a land separate from the seven nations of Teyvat, it still had major influences on the world of Genshin Impact .

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Genshin Impact's main story.

As terrifying as the Cataclysm was, it was only that latest of a series of destructive events stretching back ages. One example is Genshin Impact 's Archon Wars which happened around two thousand years before the present day, and saw god fight god in a struggle for control of Teyvat. The victorious gods became the seven Archons, and many of these Archons have been in power ever since. This means some of them were around during the events which lead to Khaenri’ahs downfall. The role the Archons of the seven nations played during the destruction of Khaenri'ah is unknown. However, the cataclysm extended far beyond the borders of Khaenri'ah, seemingly affecting all of Teyvat. At least two of the previous Archons died during the Cataclysm: Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and the first Raiden Shogun Makoto, or Baal .

Related: Where to Find The Unseen Razor In Genshin Impact

The story for Khaenri’ah seems to have been inspired by the tale of Atlantis, though its citizens have Nordic or Germanic-sounding names. Like Atlantis, Khaenri’ah was a powerful technologically advanced society located far from other civilizations but ultimately was destroyed by the gods for its hubris. Understanding the lore of Genshin Impact can be a daunting task. Much of its background is deliberately vague, comes from a variety of sources, and is not unveiled in chronological order. The lore is also not complete, with much of it either being left to interpretation or even having contradictions between different sources. Furthermore, some important Genshin Impact lore is easy to miss . Information about Khaenri’ah comes from exploring the world. Some comes from the games many books or notes, or sometimes information comes from quests. Players trying to puzzle out aspects of the lore relating to Khaenri’ah have a challenge ahead of them.

The Downfall of Khaenri’ah in Genshin Impact

While the seven nations of Teyvat are led by their respective archons, the Kingdom of Khaenri’ah was unique in that it had no gods holding dominion over it. The Eclipse Dynasty were the rulers in Khaenri’ah during its final days. The last king was named Irmin, who had only one eye. His subjects seem to use this trait as a fashion accessory, covering an eye with an eyepatch or part of a mask. Khaenri’ah was established outside Teyvat deep underground as the "pride of humanity." Its people created incredibly advanced technological automatons, many of which can be fought and defeated like Genshin Impact 's Ruin Grader and various other ruin machines. The Ruin Guards were known as Field Tillers, but they were war machines, not farming equipment.

Khaenri’ah’s people were also skilled in alchemy, in particular the alchemical technique known Art of Khemia. Its most prominent alchemist was named Rhinedottir, sometimes referred to as Gold. Using the Art of Khemia, she managed to create synthetic lifeforms. Many of Rhinedottir’s experiments ended in failure, becoming little more than monsters which went on to plague Teyvat. However, Rhinedottir did have two successes. One was a dragon named Durin, who went on to devastate Mondstadt during the cataclysm, before ultimately being stopped by Dvalin. Durin died on the mountain which became known as Genshin Impact 's Dragonspine region . Durin's remains can be found in Wyrmrest Valley.

Notable People Related to Khaenri’ah in Genshin Impact

The second successful creation of Rhinedottir was Albedo, a synthetic human and one of [https://Genshinportal.com/ Genshin Impact tips] Impact ’s playable characters. He is Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius in the present day but tends to hide his knowledge of the Art of Khemia from them because of the disaster it caused before. The creation of life is supposedly the domain of the divine, and Rhinedottir’s living beings are what drew the ire of the gods. For this reason, the gods of Celestia destroyed Khaenri’ah. Luckily, Albedo survived, and though he keeps his history private from most people, Albedo does explain his backstory to the Traveler. He trusts the Traveler, claiming they are both unusual.

Related: Genshin Impact: How To Unlock Sumeru Reputation Board

Few of Khaenri’ah’s citizens managed to survive the Cataclysm, [https://Genshinportal.com/ GenshinPortal official] and most of those who did were changed irrevocably. However, some did manage to survive the disaster because after the collapse of the Eclipse Dynasty, the Alberich Clan took control of the ruined nation. The Alberich Clan had no royal blood, but there weren't many people left who could oppose them, and even fewer that wanted to. Despite the clan's best efforts, they never managed to restore Khaenri’ah to its former glory. There is at least one living member of the Alberich Clan, and it is none other than Genshin Impact ’s playable character Kaeya . Originally Kaeya was sent as a young boy to spy on Mondstadt, though he seems to have abandoned his allegiance to Khaenri’ah as he grew up. At the very least, Kaeya is no longer trying to cause Mondstadt’s downfall as was his father’s original plan for him.

One former resident of Khaenri’ah did not fare so well. Dainsleif is an important person when it comes to the cataclysm because he was there when it happened. Dainsleif was known as the Twilight Sword, a knight captain of the Royal Guard of Khaenri’ah. He served the ruling Eclipse Dynasty until its fall. During the Cataclysm, Dainsleif commanded one of the Royal Guards named Halfdan to protect the people of Khaenri’ah. Unfortunately, he ultimately failed. Halfdan and their other royal guards become the Shadowy Husks encountered in Genshin Impact ’s Chasm area. The people of Khaenri’ah were transformed into various monsters, including hilichurls, but also monsters from the abyss like the Abyss Mages. Dainsleif was cursed with immortality, forever to live with the burden of his failure. It is physically painful for him, though he has managed to resist its effect by some unknown means so far.

It's also possible that Pierro, first of the Fatui Harbingers, has Khaenri’ah ancestry. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but he does have the look of someone from Khaenri’ah.
