The game goes out of it's way to make all nine characters play very differently, and there are a ton of stages to play with. The game is known for its "Clutch" button, which modifies attacks when held. It also has a story mode with a very heavy emphasis on platforming. Slap City 's quality and attention to detail inspires a lot of hope for Ludosity's work on All-Star Bra Patrick Star and Oblina are shown in the trailer making some silly moves at the camera or other characters which might lead to the possibility of various taunts to equip to use in-match. While character taunts don't really do much to alter gameplay, they do at least provide a fun and lighthearted way to express yourself in a multiplayer match. At this point, their entire marketing campaign for the game is based around the similarities to the Smash franchise anyway, so maybe they should just double down on it and include Nickelodeon off-brand Smash Bros reference characters in their already-quite-large roster.
