One of the best parts about playing [https://Idolvnnet.com/ Wuthering Waves Patch notes] Waves is getting a variety of characters leveled up and built up so that you can create unique teams. Almost every character is viable in most teams you can make, which makes experimenting with teams a fun experience. Yuanwu is a 4-star character that uses the gauntlet weapons in the game, and he has a unique set of skills available to use that will persist when switched out of combat. Yuanwu’s Resonance Skill will summon a Thunder Field on the object he will summon into battle. This will last for 12 seconds and will deal Electro Damage to enemies.

Best Weapons To Use With Yuanwu

There are a few really nice weapon options for Yuanwu, the first of which will be a relatively easy 5-star weapon to obtain. The Abyss Surges 5-star is a solid choice for you to get into Yuanwu’s hands. These gauntlets will increase Energy Regen by 12.8% and when Yuanwu hits an enemy with his Resonance Skill, his Basic Attack will increase by 10% . This effect will last for 8 seconds and when hitting enemies with his Basic Attack, his Resonance Skill gains a 10% bonus that will also last for 8 seconds . This is a solid option to make sure that Yuanwu gets some good Energy Regen while also receiving overall good damage buffs on top of it all.

If you are still working on getting ahold of the 5-star weapon, you can also go with the Amity Accord 4-star gauntlets. These gauntlets will give a 20% Resonance Liberation damage bonus for 15 seconds when Yuanwu’s Intro Skill is used. These gauntlets also provide a really nice damage bonus due to scaling with a character’s defense. Even though they are relatively basic, Yuanwu’s naturally high defense will benefit greatly from these gauntlets, enabling him to hit harder than normal. While only a 4-star option, this is probably one of the best weapons you could use for Yuanwu and might even be a better choice over the 5-star option.

Another option for him will be the Stonard 4-star gauntlets. These will provide a nice damage boost to Yuanwu’s Resonance Liberation. When Yuanwu’s Resonance Skil l has been used his Resonance Liberation damage receives an 18% damage bonus for 15 seconds . This is another simple weapon, but it provides a solid bonus to Yuanwu and will bring his Resonance Liberation damage to another level. Overall, this is just a nice little buffer weapon to use while waiting to get one of the stronger options available for Yuanwu.

Best Echoes To Use With Yuanwu

When thinking of what echoes to put on Yuanwu’s kit, you’ll have a couple of choices for the Sonata Effects the pair with him. Void Thunder is arguably the stronger choice, but you can use Void Thunder paired with Moonlit Clouds as well. When using purely 5 Void Thunder echoes, you will increase Yuanwu’s Electro Damage by 10% . When using Heavy Attacks or his Resonance Skill , his Electro Damage will also increase by 15% , which can stack 2 times , and will last for 15 seconds . If you wish to use a more hybrid option, you can gain a 10% Electro Damage boost with 2 Void Thunder echoes and mix those with 2 Moonlit Clouds echoes to gain a 10% increase to his Energy Regen .

For your primary echoes, you’ll want to use Tempest Mephis or Thundering Mephis. These are both transformation echoes that will enable Yuanwu to channel the echo to deal Electro Damage. Tempest Mephis will increase Yuanwu’s Electro Damage by 12% and his Heavy Attack Damage by 12% for 15 seconds once it has used all attacks. Thundering Mephis will throw out multiple attacks and increase Electro Damage by 12% as well and Resonance Liberation Damage will increase by 12% for 15 seconds as well. Both options here are going to be your best bet on a primary echo for Yuanwu, as they are going to amp up his overall Electro Damage while also providing nice damage bonuses to other parts of his kit.

Best Teams To Use With Yuanwu

Yuanwu is one of several characters that won’t need to stay in battle for a long time. He can be built to have several playstyles to enhance how long he’s on the field, but you’ll generally want to keep his time there limited to deal more damage with a heavy hitter. Jinhsi is going to be a character that compliments his shorter field time with her longer requirements on the field. She’s a heavy hitter and can benefit from Yuanwu’s Thunder Wedge, which he can put down in fights. Yuanwu doesn’t buff other characters nearly as well as some others, but his persistent field damage after he’s been switched out will allow you to focus on dealing damage with Jinhsi as often as possible.

Jianxin or Yinlin also work well with Yuanwu as another alternate dps character option. The only issue is that Jianxin has a variety of builds and some of them will come at the cost of her overall damage. Yinlin can deal a ton of damage quickly but also needs to be swapped out often to take advantage of intro skills and various buffs from other characters. Using either of these options will require you to play a quicker style and swap characters frequently. It's a fun and unique way to play the game, but it won’t be ideal for everyone.

When looking for a support character, you will want to stick with Verina or Baizhi. Both apply similar buffs to the party and Baizhi is a free character that everyone will receive from playing the game. The only downside with Baizhi is that her buffs will only apply to the next character you swap her in for, while Verina will buff everyone on the team. Both are very viable options and Baizhi is absolutely viable if you don’t have Verina yet.

Once Yuanwu has the proper weapons, echoes, and teams all set up, you are golden to use him in your teams. Of course, he’ll need levels in everything, but you will also want to look into upgrading his normal abilities too. These will cost some resources found in forgery challenges as well as some just found from exploring the world. Upgraded skills don’t add a ton to his numbers at first, but they will slowly start to add up and really make him hit harder, especially if you are using his weapons that will scale with his defense. After you’ve gotten him set up you’ll have a very strong character to add to your team that will support heavy hitters for a long time.
Trophy Kitter First Trophy

Much like other gacha games, Wuthering Waves allows players to interact further with its wide roster of characters through Companion Stories. These Stories are stand-alone, longer quests that center a specific Resonator. They let players get to know a character better by exploring their lives, motivations, and more. Some of the Companion Stories in Wuthering Waves even allow players to play as the character the Story focuses on, allowing them to glean a bit more about how the character plays and what their kit is like.

However, some players may argue that, unless done well, Companion Story quests can be hit-or-miss, especially if the player hasn't been introduced to the character the quest focuses on yet. With all of the above in mind, this article covers each Character Story available in Wuthering Waves and discusses which of the three available is the best. Read on to find out more.

This article contains spoilers for each of the Companion Story quests currently available in Wuthering Waves . Players who want to experience these stories for themselves should take caution.

Of the three Companion Stories currently available, Lingyang's suffers the most. This is due to a combination of a lack of pre-existing familiarity with Lingyang and plain old bad writing. The storyline makes sense and theoretically gives interesting insights into Lingyang's past and culture , as well as the overall lore of Wuthering Waves. However, the story is poorly translated for [https://idolvnnet.com/ idolvnnet.com] the player. Certain aspects, such as Lingyang's more animalistic form, Suan-ni, don't appear. This makes some of the more emotional notes that the game attempts to hit fall flat.

The confusion of some players regarding whether or not Lingyang is the Jingle Beast also comes down to the unclear writing in his quest, making that revelation much less affecting for some. The poor writing also morphs attempts at serious storytelling into unintentional hilarity. For example, the 'sorry you had to see that part of me' line has become a bit of a meme in certain Wuthering Waves circles online.

Still, there are parts of Lingyang's quest that do work effectively. Its references to Chinese mythology and culture are very well done, and create a wonderful atmosphere while working through the quest. It also has a nice, heartwarming story that gets wrapped up neatly. There's no denying that the main cutscene is beautifully animated, adding something unique and special to Lingyang's sweet story about loss and finding his place within society.

100 Astrite

2000 Union Experience

28,000 Shell Credit

3 Advanced Energy Core

6 Advanced Resonance Potion

Like Lingyang's Companion Story quest, Yinlin's isn't perfect. However, it's far more interesting and is told in a more effective manner. The Solitary Path quest involves missing persons cases and an intriguing creepy "villain." It's certain to pique the player's attention and get them involved in the storyline.

Unfortunately, Yinlin's Story quest doesn't deliver 100% of the time. While its setup is interesting and has a lot of opportunity to explore Yinlin and her background, it doesn't live up to its potential due to the recurring issue of poor writing. Yinlin also suffers the same issue as Lingyang when it comes to popping up out of nowhere. Since this Companion Story quest is the first time players meet her, it feels a bit hollow. That being said, Yinlin's Companion Story does a good job at making players want to get to know her more.

Overall, the Solitary Path Companion Story is still better than Lingyang's Companion Story quest. Alongside this, the opportunity to play as Yinlin in a dungeon customized to fit her allows the player to have a good bit of fun with the character. While there's room for improvement, Yinlin's quest is a lot of fun, and the issues can easily be overlooked.

100 Astrite

2000 Union Experience

28,000 Shell Credit

3 Advanced Energy Core

6 Advanced Resonance Potion

Jiyan's Companion Story quest, Daybreak At Last, is the best of the Story quests currently available. This is thanks in part to the fact that Jiyan appears in the main story of Wuthering Waves , making him familiar to players once they unlock and begin his Companion quest. In turn, this will probably make players more interested in getting to know Jiyan, unlike if he'd appeared out of thin air.

Another feature of his quest is that it's quite a bit longer than the two other Companion Story quests. It's split into three separate quests, each with its own smaller story — one even featuring Mortefi, another playable character. This also helps the quality of Jiyan's Story quest, as the linearity allows for more room for the story to develop.

That said, the best thing about Jiyan's Story quest is that it's so well written. It's often funny and lighthearted, but when it becomes serious, it's genuinely touching and emotional. Alongside this, players get a glimpse into Jiyan's past and the struggles he's suffered through, which makes the emotional scenes in the Story quest feel that much more real. In general, players are likely to come out of his Companion Story feeling much closer to him, and even hoping to see more from him in the future. It's an ideal place for a Companion Story to end.

100 Astrite

2000 Union Experience

28,000 Shell Credit

3 Advanced Energy Core

6 Advanced Resonance Potion
With her limited-time banner becoming available during the second phase of the version 1.1 update, players also have the opportunity to unlock her Companion Story Quest, "Immortal Blaze." This quest allows players to delve into Changli's background and gain a deeper understanding of her personality.

As with many companion quests in Wuthering Waves , Changli's quest features engaging cutscenes, a unique storyline, and various puzzles and mysteries that add depth to the experience. Completing "Immortal Blaze" not only enriches the player's knowledge of Changli but also provides additional rewards and insights into the game's lore. Here’s how players will need to navigate and complete this quest.

Quest is be automatically available from 22 July 2024 onwards, and all players need to do is complete Chapter 1 - Act 7 of the main story quest, Thaw of Eons. After that, players can go to the designated location in Hongzhen to start the quest with a cutscene. Here, players will have a short intraction with Changli, asking to meet her in a designated location.

After speaking with the NPCs in the area, particularly the Suspicious Spectator and Xinyi, players need to head to a specific location to progress the story. In this mission, players are required to find a place next to a ring and hanging eaves, as indicated by an area marker. Surprisingly, [https://Idolvnnet.com/ Idolvnnet.Com] this is one of the most challenging parts of the quest, as players may take some time to find it without any guidance.

To find the correct location, players should head north of the marker and climb the roof of the building next to the mountain as can be seen in the map above. There are several points where players can use their Grapple to scale the building more quickly. Once players reach the highest roof of this mountain, they will see the glowing marker and be prompted into another cutscene , which will pan the camera to a ring-shaped ancient structure. After this, a new marker by the Pavilion will appear, and players will need to set their in-game clock to between 13:00–15:00 to meet Changli at this location.

After meeting with Changli and having a long dialogue with her, players are required to move around with Changli and interact with various NPC in Mt. Firmament for the next section of the quest, which is quite straight forward. The entire quest takes around 2 hours without skipping any dialogues.

After visiting some locations, players will need to enter a Cave in Loong's Ridge, where they will need to defeat some enemies, and rescue an explorer in the area.

After a dialogue, they will need to head back to Hongzhen and ask various NPC about the explorer, until they meet a young woman (Fuling) and will have another long dialougue between her and explorer (Wuli).

After the continuation of dialogue with Fuling, players will need to report to Xinyi about their findings.

Following this dialogue, players will need to head back to the cave near Tianqu Tree, where they first met Wuli.

This time players will spend longer time in the area while investigating various objects and moving forward, they will eventually come across a broken Weiqi Board.

By using the Chronosorter nearby and moving the marker all the way to the left side, players will be able to fix the Weiqi board , and will notice various mirage NPC's appear. As players are interacting with these mirages, they will be eventually interrupted by Fractsidus enemies, and will need to defeat them. In this battle, players will be able to use a trial version of Changli. Upon defeating them, players will go through another cutscene and move them inside the Sonoro Sphere portal.

Players will spend a good portion of the quest inside the Sonoro Sphere, solving a variety of puzzles. Players will meet a little girl inside the Sonoro Sphere, and move forward together after a dialogue with this girl.

Players will need to step on certain pressure plates to advance. This puzzle requires players to step on the pressure plate on the left side while the little girl steps on the right side. After that, the door will unlock, and players can move forward, where they will encounter more enemies that need to be defeated. Afterwards, they will also need to use the nearby flaming flower with their leviator to burn the blocking branches and move ahead. Players will once again defeat a set of enemies and move towards the area. There are a decent number of supply boxes around that players can collect on the way to the next section as they move forward, investigating various items.

In the next part of this section, players will need to find a way to get inside with the girl again using the same pressure plate mechanism. To progress, players need to ask the little girl to stand on the device by interacting with her. Afterwards, the door will open, and players will need to use the Chronosorter inside, moving it all the way to the right to keep the door open. After this, the girl will automatically follow inside.

Following this, players will need to defeat the Tacet Discord enemy inside before getting to the room where they will need to solve a puzzle with light mechanisms.

Players will need to investigate the mechanism, and afterwards rotate them to be able to connect the start and end points by reflecting light through the prisms on the way.

Rotate the first prism twice.

Skip the second prism as its already reflecting the correct way.

Rotate the third prism once.

Rotate the fourth prism three times. Doing so will complete the puzzle.

After doing so, players will be able to move forwards and investigate the familiar mirage, which will forward them to the Changli's point of view. Players will need to move forward as Changli, while defeating the TD on her way, and clear the roadblock with flaming flower again. After some dialogue, now on this side, players will need to connect the light beams inside the mechanism again. It is a little bit more complicated than previous side, however still quite straightforward. Players will need to use the Levitator to put the light prisms on the correct locations to direct the light beam before rotating them.

Activate the start point, and rotate the first prism once.

Pick up the nearby prism, and put it on where the light is currently reflecting. After that rotate it twice.

Rotate the next prism three times.

Get the other prism, and place it to where this light should be reflecting, right on the corner by some stone rubble. Players will not need to rotate this prism.

Following the light, rotate the fourth prism once.

Rotate the next prism once.

Rotate the one following three times.

Rotate the next one once.

Rotate the last one three times to connect to the end. This will prompt another long cutscene.

After this, players can move forward again, collect the supply box on the way, and go through the door. They will need to defeat the Chrono Shadow to be able to leave the Chrono Sphere, which has two HP bars. Once it is defeated, players will have another cutscene, leave the domain and have dialogue with Fuling, Wuli and Xinyi.

Next, players will need to move forward the in-game time by at least two days to progress further. The hour doesn't matter. After that, players will need to go to Hongzhen and speak with Xinyi to learn about the whereabouts of Changli. Players will then go to the agreed location near the Tianqu Tree to meet Changli, and have another dialogue as well as an ending cutscene, completing the quest.

Players will be able to collect a total of 2000 Union EXP, 140 Asterite, as well as other resources such as Shell Credits, Advanced Resonance Potions and Advanced Energy Cores. Additionally, players will unlock the Deserted Trail Trophy by completing this quest, which is another 10 Asterites.
