While there aren't exactly classes in this MMORPG, there are weapons that almost act as classes coming with their own unique skills and enhancements.

Skills

Skills come in all varieties. However, they're particularly segregated by these two categories:

Active: These skills have actionable abilities in combat.

Passive: These skills offer ongoing stat boosts.

Defensive: These skills provide a greater measure of defense, or added defensive abilities: such as parrying.

It's important to pair skills to create a potent build that'll help you achieve your goals. For instance, your passive skills can bolster specific active skills when equipped together. Also, you can unlock skills at various levels.

Skill Enhancements

Each skill can be boosted for a cost. This cost comes in the form of Skill Specialization Points that you earn as you level up. You can expend these points on various enhancements or "specialization effects" for [https://divinebham.com/ Https://Divinebham.com/] a given skill. Each enhancement comes with a specific cost. So, choose wisely.

All Staff Skills & Skill Enhancements

The staff is the perfect weapon of choice for those who want a longer reach and greater impact area. This weapon is ideal for mopping up groups of lesser hostiles and delivering greater AoE damage and dealing heavy magic damage. Therefore, this weapon delivers excellent crowd control but might not be the best for focused, heavy-damage strikes on solo targets.

Below, you will find all Skills and their associated enhancements for the staff. However, over the tag for additional information on each.

Active

Level Unlocked

|

Skill

|

Enhancement

|

Cost

---|---|---|---

1

|

Quick Links

The Wand/Bow Healer Build

Level 50 Healer Build For PvE Dungeons/Bosses

The Healer is a quintessential MMO role, and in [https://Divinebham.com/ Throne And Liberty Wiki] and Liberty the healer is one of the most important members of any party. One of the issues with healers in MMOs is typically they fall down when it comes to completing solo content, but in T&L, your damage scales off of your base stats - this means you can still do solo content even if you're going straight into Wisdom for mana regen. You'll still put out plenty of damage with your Wand and Bow combo.

We say Wand and Bow because that's the optimum Healer build we've found so far in the game, but Wand/Staff is also viable. We will update this guide with more information as we, and other players, get to grips with the game.

The Wand/Bow Healer Build

Let's dive right into the best Healer build we've found so far: the combination of Wand and Bow.

The Wand

This is the source of the majority of your heals - but interestingly, not all of them - [https://Divinebham.com/ Throne and Liberty events] it also provides some decent AoE clear for solo content.

The Wand comes with two fantastic Healing skills available right from the start, which are ideal for a Healer leveling build.

Swift Healing

|

A simple spell that restores a percentage of the targeted allies' health. It can be repeated twice, quickly. The absolute staple skill of any healing build.

---|---

Clay's Salvation

|

A large AoE heal that applies healing to all party members within range. This has a longer cooldown and should be used more sparingly. Can be the difference between wiping in a dungeon or managing to survive.

If you're in a group or guild that's active and completing content, you can begin leveling these Healing skills as a priority.

If you're instead racing through solo content, trying to level as quickly as possible while also trying to gain mastery experience on the Wand, you might want to try maxxing out some of the damage-orientated Wand skills.

The main source of damage comes from the Curse debuff you inflict on enemies with a combo of your skills and your Perfect defense skill, Chaotic Shield.

Touch Of Despair

|

Applies a curse debuff on an enemy, can stack up to three times. This applies damage-over-time and a weakness debuff that increases your allies' damage against the target.

---|---

Curse Explosion

|

Causes an explosion that deals extra damage to cursed enemies - i.e, extends the curse duration.

Chaotic Shield

|

If you hit a Perfect defense, Chaotic Shield inflicts Curse of Despair on all nearby enemies and reduces cooldown of curse skills.

The main rotation is to stack Touch Of Despair then use Curse Explosion to clear groups of enemies together. Chaotic Shield provides extra AoE clear, as well as Healing when the skill transforms into 'Healing Spell' after hitting a Perfect defense.

The Bow

So why is the Bow such a good companion for the Wand? Mostly because it provides great solo-target damage for clearing content on your own, but it also has a range of Support features that provide buffs and cleansing for your party.

Healing Touch

|

Grants a healing regen effect to allies, can be stacked up to 3 times.

---|---

Nature's Blessing

|

Increases both health and mana regen and removes weaken effects.

Purifying Touch

|

Removes a debuff from a targeted ally - if you successfuly remove a debuff, you grant extra attack speed to that ally.

Alongside the healing abilities, we also take Ensnaring Arrow as it will root enemies in place, and even for bosses who are immune to snaring, they'll instead be inflicted with the Shackle debuff.

Level 50 Healer Build For PvE Dungeons/Bosses

Once you've managed to hit level 50, you can start to really customize your builds. You can have up to three slots of skills saved. This build is a pure healer build for PvE dungeons and group content.

Wand Skills

Skill

|

Specialization

---|---

Swift Healing

|

Clay's Salvation

|

Fighting Spirit Barrier

|

Invincible Wall

|

Enchanting Time

|

Fountain Of Life

|

This puts a lot of priority on keeping your party alive. Skills like Fighting Spirit Barrier and Invincible Wall provide more than just healing but allow your tanks to sustain even more damage.

Of course, this drastically reduces your outgoing damage.

Bow Skills

Skill

|

Specialization

---|---

Healing Touch

|

Nature's Blessing

|

Deadly Marker

|

Flash Wave

|

Limit Break

|

Decisive Sniping

|

Passives

Devotion And Emptiness

|

---|---

Noble Revival

|

Selfless Soul

|

Vampiric Contract

|

Earth's Blessing

|

Distorted Sanctuary

|

Roxie's Arrowhead

|

Sniper's Sense

|

Thone and Liberty can be quite a complex game , and like in any MMORPG, there are some beginner mistakes players should avoid if they don't want to get stuck later in their progression.

This topic incorporates several common mistakes that every Throne and Liberty player could stumble upon, alongside some useful advice on how to re-direct the players' efforts into better solutions for their needs. From spending key end-game resources recklessly to a level-up gimmick that most players ignore and could be crucial for the end-game.

Close

Throughout the adventure in [https://Divinebham.com/ Throne and Liberty walkthrough] and Liberty , players will receive tons of rewards like materials for crafting, equipment to boost their gear score, and items to improve their passive and active skills called Skill Growth Books. These can also be crafted (like most of the things in the game) but to do so, players need to grind a lot.

It is convenient for players to keep their Skill Tome usage to a minimum, no matter the level, since they will need them in the late game to maximize their optimal builds. And though there are a lot of items that allow players to transfer the progression from one skill to the other, these are rare and expensive, since they're bought with in-game Currency in the shop. It is better to hoard these Books and use them later when the players already know what kind of character they want to build.

Close

Tier 0 Equipment can be bought from the Equipment Stores in each City, and Tier 1 Equipment is often obtained by doing quests, or dropped from monsters. However, materials are resources that are absolutely necessary to progress beyond tier 1 to tier 2, [https://Divinebham.com/ prev] and by spending them recklessly, players expose themselves to getting stuck in an undergeared hell.

Players should aim to spend materials wisely and use the Lithography book to claim better gear by trading tier 0 equipment for tier 1 equipment. Tier 0 equipment drops regularly from monsters, especially during events like the Wolf Hunt Contest.

Close

As mentioned, Tier 0/1 equipment can be used in the Lithography book to claim rewards and better gear. So, selling it for regular currency, which drops from nearly everywhere, is a mistake players should avoid.

Unless, of course, it is a repeated piece of equipment that players already have in their Lithograph Books. Nevertheless, double or triple-check before selling gear, since sometimes several lithograph entries require the same item, so players probably need more than one Lamellar Armor or Cantrip Staff to complete the collection.

Close

Gear Items like Weapons, Armor, and Accessories all have levels that increase when players spend Growthstones on them. There's a particular mechanic that every player should be aware of before getting rid of their old leveled items - Growth levels can be transferred to new items.

This can be done from the Main Menu, in the Equipment Enchanting section. So, players should refrain from selling, destroying, or bidding to the Lithograph Book their leveled items. Instead, they should always put all the growth value in the new items from higher tiers once they're done with the old ones. Doing so will destroy the old item, but will save players loads of resources and Growthstones.

Close

Growthstones are the items players need to level up items such as Weapons, Armor, and Accessories. But they're quite scarce, and they're often obtained through the rewards of the Milestone, Leveling Log, Contracts, or Codex. While completing the main storyline, players should receive a hefty amount of them, but they should not spend them recklessly.

Like every component, these can be leveled up, so saving Tier 1 Growthstones means that players will get access to more Tier 2 Growthstones and so on. So these are some of the few items that are actually wise to hoard in the warehouse .

Close

Players might be tempted by Throne and Liberty 's no-class system, where players decide their path based on the weapons they pick and the skills they develop. But beware: pick no more than two weapons and stick with them, since leveling up all the active skills, passive skills, and weapon skills can be a pain.

For example, picking up Staff and Wand as primary weapons might help players level up healing, curses, and attack magic at a 50/50 growth rate. Picking Greatsword, Wand, and Daggers will result in a 33.3% growth rate in each of the skill lines. This will result in an underleveled character in the late game, and it will be an expensive error to fix.

Close

Some area objectives can be accessed easily from the Codex or the Manage Content tab can be bound to certain world events that happen every day or every few hours. Players might feel the need to maximize their leveling and rush for the end-game content, but by doing so, they miss the chance to participate in some of these events, which are bound to certain Codex objectives that grant even more rewards.

Throne and Liberty doesn't necessarily punish players that rush levels, since they can get access to high-tier areas faster, and also accumulate rewards. But the snowball effect for a completionist player who participated in every event and completed all the secondary objectives bound to events will be bigger. It's up to each player to decide.

Close

Finally, using Contract Coins is a good way to get the best gear in the late game. These can be obtained by completing Contracts (the first ones are obtained in Urstella Fields, at the Starlight Ruins Observatory) and are quite tricky to farm since players only get access to a certain amount of contracts per day.

So, saving them for later can be good, since the rewards from the Lvl. 50 Tier can be way better than just keys for random chests, materials that can be farmed from other sources, and other miscellania. For example, spending 200 coins will yield a box that can grant a Tier 3 (Purple) weapon, so better save the coins until their characters reach level 50.

[https://Divinebham.com/ Throne and liberty patch notes] and Liberty was released in early access on September 26th, 2024 with full free release happening October 1st, 2024. The MMORPG is a welcome sight for a genre begging for more hits. After suffering collosal player count drop-offs from similar games like New World and Lost Ark (which both happen to also be published by Amazon Games, of which the former was developed by them as well), MMO players continue to pine for the "next World of Warcraft".

Throne and Liberty was developed by NCSoft and had been live in Korea since December 2023, so it has had some legs, hype in the MMORPG community and lessons learned before its North America release. Today we dive into my experience over the first 25 hours played of the game. In this time I have reached the max level 50 and participated in the various dungeons, world bosses, PvP, etc that the game has to offer. While truly seeing the full potential of an MMORPG could take months, we talk today about the initial feeling of this game and if it will stand the test of time.

Impressive Campaign Story

Close

While staying away from the details of the main campaign questline to avoid spoilers, I can say without a doubt that Throne and Liberty had my favorite story for MMORPG standards compared to others in the industry (and this is coming from someone who has been playing MMORPGs almost exclusively since he was 13... and is 35 now... damn I'm getting old). Most MMORPG storylines are incredibly dull and I find myself skipping through them as fast as I can. With Throne and Liberty, I found myself actually watching all the cutscenes and following along with what was happening, and even caring about the NPCs I interacted with.

The story from the beginning had me wondering "who am I supposed to be here?", "what happened to that person?" and many thoughts of "ok this person seems to be up to something sinister". These thoughts alone are much more than I've ever really cared about stories in past MMOs, so I'll give NCSoft that. The voice over and many cinematics were a great touch to help keep me intrigued and interested in what was happening, rather than reading long quest logs and subtitles.

Freedom of Choice

Close

Most of Throne and Liberty is forgiving if you want to play the game your way and worry about optimization later. When it comes to stat point distribution, it's entirely free to reset your stat points and reallocate them as you wish. You can experiment with stat setups or you can put them where you want until you hit max level and really want to optimize your character for performance.

The same goes with Skill Specialization. These are tweaks you can make to your skill to enhance them or give yourself additional buffs such as +15% Attack Speed as long as you have that skill. Other changes allow you to completely change the way the skill works and even what the skill is called. These specializations can immensely change the way your class is played. The fact that it's completely free to reset and change these at will is a huge plus. On the other hand, Weapon Mastery points are not able to be reset, so you should know what you want to invest into before spending these points, as they take a long time to unlock.

While you **can __ ** change which weapons you use, it's not advisable unless you are doing it within the first 10 or so character levels. You need a lot of skill books to continue upgrading all your skills to the highest levels, and a huge chunk of these books comes from quests while you are level up to 50. If you are at level 50 and want to change which weapons you use, you will need to gather thousands of these books again to help level up the skills of the new weapon, and they are much harder to come by vs. just completing main story quests.

Combat Is A Huge Win

In the first 20 levels of Throne and Liberty, the combat is underwhelming. At this stage in the game I was sure I wouldn't be into it. It's worth nothing this is only about 2 or 3 hours into gameplay. As I gained levels past this level 20 threshold and unlocked more skills, and started upgrading those skills, however, I found myself more and more enamored with the combat style of the game. I finally **actually read __ ** my skill descriptions and understood how they might synergize with each other. Rather than look up guides online I wanted to experiment a little on my own first.

Creating my own skill rotation as I levelled to try to optimize how I wanted to play, made me feel like my choices mattered. Other mechanics such as using the "Q" bound defense skills to dodge or block mechanics felt satisfying when landing a _perfect block . _ Between the effortless flow of skill use, the skill upgrade, mastery, and specialization systems, I can confidently say that I love the combat in Throne and Liberty .

Longevity of Interest

Close

My main concern when it comes to Throne and Liberty is my longevity of interest. While I enjoy all of the activities, PvP, dungeons, etc, I don't know how long I will stay completely interested in getting better and obtaining better and better gear. I do like that the gear looks unique, as it means getting gear upgrades could matter from a visual perspective too.

When I play I like to see my DPS (damage per second). I like to see it pitted against the other players in my group to see how I'm performing (Hi damage meters in WoW!), but more importantly and more essential for me is to just at least see my own DPS, I don't even need to see other people's. Seeing my own damage output allows me to set benchmarks for myself and set my goals on improving that number and continuing to optimize my setup to push higher and higher. Without something like this, I'm not sure I will remain hooked on the game. Not knowing how much I am contributing to the group makes it feel like I'm just along for the ride and I may not be an important part of the effort.

_Closing Comments: _

With impressive storytelling, amazing combat and interesting upgrading systems, Throne and Liberty excels where many MMORPGs fail right off the bat. My main concern is that I just don't know if there is something there to keep me coming back and wanting to improve my character. If I don't know how well I'm performing and how much I'm contributing to the group, how will I know I need to improve? Furthermore, if there are further ways to optimize my character, how will I know the changes I make are making a large difference, other than a "gut feel" when attacking enemies.
